Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when patients are affected by injury, illness or disability. Physiotherapists usually being their treatment plan by accessing the patient's detailed history and employing physical tests. After the initial assessment, physiotherapists are able to treat patients using a variety of techniques including personalized exercise programs, joint mobilization and manipulation, hot and cold packs, airway clearance, skin and wound care, and much more.
