What Does a Chiropractor Do?

Chiropractic treatment is a hands on treatment for the back, neck and joints. By performing what is known as "sipnal manipulation" chiropractors are able to adjust misaligned joint positions in the spine and neck to restore joint mobility. This is done through applying a controlled force on the patient's joints as they lie down on a chiropractic bed.

Conditions That Can Be Treated

Chiropractors are able to treat a large variety of symptoms associated but not limited to the spine and neck. They are able to identify issues that need to be treated by other medical specialists in the case that it is needed and make referrals accordingly. Typical symptoms that can be treated through chiropractic treatment include:

• Headaches and migranes
• Neck pain and neck stiffness
• Pinched nerves
• Muscle spasms
• Leg and arm pain, tingling and numbness
• Carpal tunnel symdrome (CTS)
